Welcome
Hello, my name is David J. Schaefer and I am a media teacher, researcher, and practitioner. I have worked in commercial and non-profit radio, public television, and the newspaper industry as a producer, writer, announcer, actor, or reporter. With nearly 30 years of university teaching experience, I have designed and delivered courses in audio and video production and performance, filmmaking and film studies, broadcast and interactive writing, web design, rhetorical and critical theory, and related areas. My research interests include global media literacy, Sense-Making Methodology, Bollywood studies, and digital public sphere theory.
